Matt Berry

He currently works at the California Tennis Club as the Head Pro, and specializes in working with high performance juniors.

At CTC he runs one of the most successful junior programs in the area, including captioning the 2017 U-14 team who have won four straight sectional titles and recently competed to win NorCal's first ever National Championship. Berry also founded and directed the CTC Junior Tournaments and many of his students have achieved DI college scholarships.

Berry's college career begun at the University of Tennessee where he was awarded a full scholarship. He had a 10-match win streak reaching the round of 32 at the ITA All American Championships. He then transferred to the University of San Francisco where he completed his business major. At USF, Berry played No. 1 in singles and doubles, and was awarded West Coast Conference second team his junior year and first team singles his senior year. He set the record for most wins in a season going 24-4 playing No. 1 in singles. In 2009, he coached the USF men's team as a graduate assistant, helping them achieve third place in the conference and a ranking of 60th in the country.

Berry competed on the ITF circuit as a junior and was ranked in the top 5 of his country throughout his career. He won the South African national title in 2004 and ended the year ranked No. 1 in U18 division in South Africa.
